Dear Peekaboo,

First of all, I love your website, and am an avid reader!  Your articles are always timely, informative, and make me feel cool so thank you!

My main purpose in contacting you is to tell you about a very interesting (and hip) project I encountered while searching the web for soft, organic, seamless clothing for my son who has Autism, which in his case, involves having extreme tactile defensiveness/sensory sensitivity.

I found www.softclothing.net , which is a small Brooklyn based clothing company, in the development phase, started by a special educator.  Jessica Elsas, the designer/educator, is calling it a line of "inclusive clothing" and is seemingly well aware of the myriad social and academic issues which can develop in a child who is tactile defensive, ever plagued by the seams, tags, and insensitive cut and fabric feel of many typical kids clothes.  I personally have been waiting for something like this all my son’s life (he is now 10).

Wow, thanks so much for the fabulous find and what an awesome company Soft Clothing is!  We had fun perusing their fun website, as well as their blog;  definitely an invaluable resource for parents of Autistic children.  We love that they’re a small start-up with big ideas and we’re certain they’re bound for great things.  We also love that these thoughtfully designed clothes are incredibly hip too!

Here is a fantastic Video Preview of Soft Clothing’s First Collection.
