Looking for the Carrie Bradshaw of Mommies

Looking for the Carrie Bradshaw of Mommies

carrie bradshaw If you were a fan of Sex and the City like I was, and thought Carrie Bradshaw was pretty darn fabulous for writing her own column, well, this just might be your chance to live the dream!  Okay, so you won’t be writing a sex column for a big New York City newspaper but how about a fun weekly column for the hippest, mom magazine online?

Peekaboo Picks is looking to bring on a few fresh voices to our editorial staff.  We’re looking for moms (or dads, nannies, grandmas, etc.) who would like to contribute a weekly column to our magazine.  This is an unpaid position (for now) but comes with plenty of perks (think Carrie’s shoe collection only in baby goods and mommy must-haves!)  If you’re already a blogger or a mom business owner, the column might be a great way to gain some new fans too!  We are open to your ideas but would love to have a living green with baby column, a health and fitness column, and maybe even a relationship column.

We are looking for writers who can commit to one article/post per week.  You don’t have to be an expert in the field, or even a published writer.  But you do need to be fun, fresh, and committed to bringing the most fabulous finds and insight to our hip mom readers.

If interested, please send a brief column proposal along with a sample post to editorial@peekaboopicks.com.  We can’t guarantee we’ll be able to respond to all submissions, but definitely if we’re interested, you’ll be hearing from us!

    Hi There!

I may have totally missed this opportunity since I’ve just only now discovered your site (love it, love it, love it btw) and I’ve just added it to my follow list, but I also happen to be a writer. I write a blog for AllRecipes.com – about cooking with kids – which might be interesting here + plus I write a humor column about mommyhood, entitled, “Mother of the Year (not really)” for a regional publication called “Peekaboo.” I would LOVE to be a part of your fabulous crew. I too am always looking searching for fabulous finds in all categories – especially for boys because I have two. Here’s my blog for your consideration…www.momoftheyear.com Really appreciate your time.

Best regards, Eileen Isola (btw: I write under a pen name, Tate Emerson, for privacy purposes. The story behind that? It was to be name of our girl if we ever had one, which we didn’t – so I guess this is my “birth” of a different variety! ;) Thanks again!
