Nursery #4: Isabella’s Princess Nursery
I spent all 9 months of my pregnancy painting, faux finishing, hunting for the
perfect furniture, choosing fabrics, designing and sewing for the
"baby suite." It was a huge project that consumed 100′s of
hours, 20+ yards of dupioni silk, and loads of love! It turned out
beautifully and I am so glad that I did it. When we started, the room
was bare with flat white walls. Everything from the crown molding
and chair rail, to the beautifully restored vintage rocking chair, the
Isabella Sign (made from the letter Christmas tree ornaments from
Restoration Hardware) above the changing table / antique refinished
dresser and the custom garment bag for her hospital stay were lovingly
incorporated to what we thought would make the perfect little haven
for our princess.
