My Plate-Mate
October 31, 2008 by shawn · Leave a Comment
Founded by Michele Wong and Paige Akabane, I first viewed “My Plate-Mate” on The Today Show with Donny Deutsch. Very impressive! This item is an amazing product for toddlers to eat with success, not mess.
“The mission of My Plate-Mate is to offer clients a unique self-feeding product. As a learning tool, My Plate-Mate assists in promoting independence and self confidence in all users no mater their age or limitation. Michele and Paige understand the importance and joy that comes from being able to share a meal with family and friends. My Plate-Mate will bring back this positive dining experience and eliminate the frustrations and mess.”
As a mom of a 4 year old, I know where the majority of the food ends up, on the floor and not in the mouth. As you can see in the photo, Brock was using the product and loving every minute of it. He looked at me and said,”Look mommy, I can do it by myself!” YEA for parents! By the way, Brock has worn his Halloween costume since the day we purchased it for him and it is now in threads and guess what, I have to find another one.
They also promote this product for the elderly. They are definitely thinking out of the box!
My Plate-Mate is interchangeable for use with any 8″-9 1/2″ plate at home or in restaurants and is dishwasher safe.
The product retails for $7.95 and is available in pink, blue, and white. It is made in the USA of FDA approved food grade plastic. It is free of lead, bisphenol-a (BPA), phthalates, PVC, and polycarbonates.

Dapper Snappers
Are your kids caught somewhere between sizes? Do you take your chances every time you buy a pair of pants for your child? Introducing Dapper Snappers, with their cute little slogan, “Fix Droopy Drawers in a Snap!” I just love mom-invented products, born out of necessity, and this is one of them. After fighting to keep her sons pants up, this mom found a better way and created Dapper Snappers!
Very often for us, the length is right, but the waist is too big. I had the chance to try Dapper Snappers and am very pleased with the result. They go on easily, with just a couple snaps and they tighten up the waist just enough to eliminate the problem of “droopy drawers!” It is one size fits all for children ages 9 months to 5 years. They currently come in 9 colors and there is a new line called Snapcessories™.

Lollitops
October 30, 2008 by courtney · Leave a Comment
When the Lollitop arrived and I opened the package, my 4 year old saw it and immediately wanted it. In hot pink with a big pink flower the ‘Hot Cha Cha’ is so stinkin’ cute! My daughter wanted to try it on right away and I’ll tell you what, it’s even cuter on! I’m always putting fun things in my 4 year old’s hair because she has this long, thick, smooth hair to die for and she’s a cutie, so I like to see her darling face too. Well, the Lollitop is the icing on the cake! And, talk about a head turner! Not one, not two, but about a half a dozen people stopped me at the store asking where I got such an adorable creation!
Well, not only is the Lollitop a hat that will keep my dear daughters head toasty from the Fall chill, but it’s also a purse! It never fails, every time we go anywhere, I end up holding not only my purse and jacket, but my daughters belongings too. Especially accessories like hats and jackets. At this point, shopping is not fun anymore because I no longer have a hand to hold on to any merchandise. What’s neat about the Lollitop is that when my daughter got tired of wearing the adorable hat, I just tied the long ribbon ends together and voila, she had a sweet little purse hanging from her shoulder. I even gave her a dollar to stick in it so it made it even more worth while for her to carry her own belongings.
So, now I HAVE to get my 2 1/2 year old her own Lollitop because number one, I have to buy two of everything these days because otherwise there is always someone crying and yelling ‘mine!’, number two they are so stinkin’ cute and number three I have baby number three on the way and it would be so cute to get all three girls wearing their Lollitops in a picture. You have to go check out their website www.lollitopsUSA.com and see all of the adorable designs. I think I’m going to have a hard time choosing just two!

Kiddo Kards

Turn off the TV, video games, cell phones, & IPods, Kiddo Kards is a great way to bring the whole family together and put a smile on your child’s face. I received the “Snuggle Stories” and the “Bad Day Busters”. The Snuggle Stories have questions like, “Tell me, when you were my age, what did you want to be when you grow up?” and the Bad Day Busters have fill-in words of encouragement, “One thing I always want you to remember is…”
“The Kiddo Kards idea and products were created with love by work-at-home mom, Temre. Recognizing that our kids grow up in a world that can sometimes be tough, Temre wishes there was a way she could give her daughter a tangible yet very simple reminder of how loved she is. Of course, it also had to come in a fun and colorful package that kids would love to collect as their very own and be small enough to go all of the places that kids do.”
My family had so much fun with these cards. The boys loved finding out about us and we loved hearing about their thoughts. We sometimes laughed so hard we could not contain ourselves and to hear our children’s ideas brought tears to our eyes. I also have filled out some of the Bad Day Busters and put them in backpacks and under pillows. They now look forward to finding them and seeing what Mom and Dad have to say
You have many great items to choose from: Bad Day Busters, Especially For You, Snuggle Stories, Once Upon A Time, & My Little Sunshine. They all come in an adorable tin box and retail for $12.95.
Thanks for bringing families “even” closer together!

Personalized Photo Confetti from Pink Poodle
October 30, 2008 by deanna · Leave a Comment
I am always looking for those cute little personal touches to add to a celebration. On that note, I have a wonderful find to share with you. Pink Poodle Boutique recently sent me some personalized photo confetti to try out. Since a friend was celebrating her son’s first birthday, I e-mailed four pictures, my shape and color choices, and two personal messages. I received the confetti quickly and passed it along for the party. Not only was my friend thrilled with it, showing everyone she could find, but guests at the party were raving about it and asking where she found it.
A 2 oz. bag has over 1000 pieces and gives you enough to scatter over 2-4 eight foot tables. What a great idea for celebrations of all kinds- birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations . . .
Go take a look at www.pink-poodle-boutique.com to choose the colors, shapes, messages, and/or photos to make your party even more special and unique!

Chicks-n-Chickens Lullaby Express
October 30, 2008 by sarah · Leave a Comment
I am in love with this mommy and me workout DVD. Everything about chicks-n-chickens Lullaby Express is so soothing, inviting, relaxing, and just the thing I was looking for since having had my little girl. With my son I did mommy and me yoga and loved it. It was time for both me and my little man to relax but still strengthen my body. I haven’t been able to find anything like that since moving to Hawaii. Well now with Lullaby Express, I have that same combination - bonding with my little girl, a work out for mommy and some much-needed relaxing, chill-out time.
I love that this DVD features real-moms with real babies. Creator and Chief Chick, Darcy Novo Albrecht is fantastic. She isn’t overly bubbly, at all, she’s real, comforting, calm. She revs you up with the groove portion where you work on legs, bellies and your behind, all while carrying your little one in front of you (babies make the best weights!).
After you’ve got a sweat going on, Darcy takes you through the sleep portion. Many of the movements are natural to us mothers…rocking, swaying, holding your little one close. But then Darcy adds a neck stretch here or a shoulder raise there and then suddenly this experience evolves and you are not only bonding and putting your little one to sleep, but you are RELAXING! Most likely, your little one will be relaxing too and will be off to night-night land, as my little girl did. …..aaahhhh….
Lullaby Express by chicks-n-chickens really is a fantastic “mommy and me” workout DVD, the best I’ve found, hands down. The music used throughout the DVD is equally fantastic, even making me tear up during the sleep portion once…it’s good stuff, sweet, inspiring, perfect.
Attention San Francisco area readers - chicks-n-chickens is on a tour in your neighborhood - lucky ladies!! Check it out here for more information.
