Baby Capes

Baby Capes

We just moved from from sunny, hot California where the weather is still reaching the 80′s and 90′s to freezing cold Michigan where the snow has made an appearance and we are scrambling to find warm clothing to bear the change in climate.  If you took a look in our closets, you would cringe because our entire wardrobe is geared toward the hot climate of Southern California and we are in serious need of warm winter clothing.

This is where Baby Capes has become a savior for my little girls.  Baby Capes are not only cute, but super soft and cozy.  They come in a variety of luxurious, machine washable fabrics including Marshmallow Minky, Minky Sherpa Suede and Minky Cuddle.  One size will fit your newborn all the way up to your preschooler, so you’ll get your money’s worth using it year after year.

Lately, my daughters have been struggling because I put them in their car seats all bundled up and they feel like their seatbelts are too tight, so I am always having to adjust their seatbelts to accommodate what they are wearing.  Little did I know that I am putting my girls at risk by leaving their coats on because coats add a lot of slack, reducing the level of protection in a crash.  Had I known I was putting my girls lives in danger, I would have NEVER kept them bundled up!

The Baby Capes have come to the rescue of our children providing a warm, cozy solution.  Once you have removed all of the thick extra clothing from your child and fastened them into their car seat, you just slip the Baby Cape over your child’s head and they are provided with a warm, cozy blanket like poncho.  There is a slit up the back of the Baby Cape that has snaps so that the back is open, not allowing any unwanted bulk.  The Baby Cape can also be used when wearing a carrier to provide warmth to your little one when a coat just won’t do.

I highly recommend Baby Capes for all moms looking to keep their children safe and warm this winter!
