Megan Grady, Editor
Not that long ago, Megan was living the single gal’s life in the crazy land of Hollywood. On an unassuming evening in September ‘05 at a typical house party in L.A., her hip shakin’ dance moves caught the eye of a handsome young man from Portland. From that moment on, her life has been in fast forward. Having finally met the man of her dreams, they wasted no time in starting a family and in September ‘06 their son Aiden was born (you can do the math on that one!) Now fully immersed in the family life, Megan is expecting her second child in March and rates motherhood as her best adventure yet. Megan resides in her hometown, Carnation, WA, a very small dot on the map near Seattle.

Rachelle Powers, Staff Writer
In the spring of 2001, Rachelle Powers found herself convinced by her husband, Darrin that moving to Alaska was the next phase of their lives. They packed up their belongings and their old cat into two vehicles and drove due north for six days. Not only was it a scary decision to make but it was hard for her to leave her family, friends and a job at Microsoft, as well as the studio where she had been teaching dance for the previous two years. Intending to stay in the 49th state for a year just to say she’d done it, Rachelle is shocked now to realize she’s been living happily in Alaska for over five years. Moving was the start to an entirely different lifestyle and she now finds herself blessed to be a stay at home mom to three little munchkins, two boys with a girl in the middle. Rachelle and her husband love being active in their local church working in the youth group and nursery ministries. In between diaper changes, Dr. Seuss stories and picking up food off the floor, she tries to make time to document every aspect of her children’s lives in scrapbooks and her online journal at livejournal.

Hopelessly nostalgic, she’s crazy about Audrey Hepburn films, A-line dresses, and Nat King Cole.
